Gliding to him is one of the last silent adventures; long distance flying in the Austrian Alps is one of the most beautiful things.
He enjoys flying in wave and in high mountains, and
dislikes the higher risk of too many gliders in the same thermal.

Comments: “When I was 10 or 11 years old, I wished to fly, since that time the desire for gliding has grown more and more. On long distance flights I never lose hope of reaching my home airport, even if the ‘time-table’ says that is is not possible.”
He likes the fact that gliding can be done to an excellent standard over many years.
He dislikes too many aircraft in the same thermal, dangerous and inconsiderate flying.
